The aim of the Carpathian Basin Entrepreneurs’ Community (KMVK) is to reach Hungarian entrepreneurs across the Carpathian Basin and bring them together into a community.

CHALLENGE

How can a real connection be built among the members of a community of 3,000 entrepreneurs living in different parts of the Carpathian Basin? And how can we support this enormous effort with external communication tools? Together with KMVK, we set out to find answers to these questions.

SOLUTION

We had solid foundations to build on when developing the communication action plan, as KMVK invites its members to various events, conferences, and business meetings where they can establish new professional and personal connections, while beginner or young entrepreneurs participating in the programs are supported by experienced mentors. This value-creating community-building work, however, also had to be made visible to the outside world.

As a first step, we designed KMVK’s visual identity and created a range of branded materials to ensure a consistent appearance at both online and offline events. We created KMVK’s website and Facebook page, both serving the same purpose: through text, photo, and video content, they bring entrepreneurs living in Hungarian communities beyond the border closer to one another, while also presenting successful business leaders to the outside world, whether they are newcomers or professionals with decades of experience. On the website, we used a truly classic genre for this purpose—the portrait, which is less common on today’s news portals and offers readers the experience of slow reading.

As a second step, we launched an Instagram page focusing mainly on entrepreneurial tips, as well as the community’s LinkedIn page and YouTube channel, where valuable and unique content was published. Our team also took part in organizing the gathering of Carpathian Basin entrepreneurs in Mezőkövesd, as well as several online and offline events. We also sought to channel our professional expertise into these initiatives by supporting community members in personal branding and in successful press and social media communication.

RESULT

Through the valuable and unique content published on KMVK’s website and social media platforms, as well as the community’s unified visual identity, we highlighted the value-creating work of Hungarian entrepreneurs across the Carpathian Basin and the everyday life of their vibrant, active community.
