CHALLENGE

The 800th anniversary of the re-consecration of the Basilica of Pannonhalma provided an opportunity to draw attention to the historical, cultural, and sacred treasures of the Benedictine Archabbey of Pannonhalma.

SOLUTION

Our agency primarily supported the Archabbey through social media communication. We promoted the cultural events of the 800th anniversary with thematic post series, creating unique visuals tailored to each type of event. At the same time, we presented the monastic community and Benedictine values.
We also organized a press trip for members of key editorial teams relevant to the theme, where journalists could discover the basilica, Benedictine traditions, and the cultural and historical heritage of the Archabbey.

RESULT

Through the Archabbey’s Facebook page, news of the Basilica 800 anniversary reached several hundred thousand people—most of whom had not previously followed the Pannonhalma Benedictine on Facebook. The press trip resulted in rich, in-depth reports, and the Archabbey’s cultural and tourist attractions were covered by outlets that do not often report on monastic life—including tabloid and women’s magazines—thus bringing the news of the jubilee to an even broader audience.
